Gerakan Pengurangan Sampah Plastik Dengan Pemanfaatan Bank Sampah Universitas Syiah Kuala

Abstract

This service aims to reduce plastic waste by utilizing the Syiah Kuala University Garbage Bank facility to produce goods of economic value. The method used in this service is the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method, which is a problem-based service that is found and provides alternative solutions. The results of this service led to the utilization of plastic waste in Gampong Kopelma Darussalam by providing students with an understanding of the types of waste, and handling each type of waste through PAR in the 5T way (To Know, To Understand, To Plan, To Action, To Reflection). Therefore, that more intensive efforts will be needed from waste banks in each village in Aceh to provide further socialization or introduction of processing methods to the community as a whole so as to increase public awareness and participation in waste management.
