Penyuluhan Stunting dan Pembuatan Nugget Ikan Tuna di Desa Lam Asan Siem dan Desa Kajhu Aceh Besar

Stunting is one of the conditions of malnutrition in children that occurs due to inadequate nutrition in toddlerhood, causing chronic nutritional problems. Based on a survey conducted on posyandu in Lam Asan Siem and Kajhu Village, Aceh Besar, it was found that as many as 66.6% did not know the causes and ways of preventing stunting. This service aims to provide awareness about the use of tuna for the basic material for making fish nuggets, as a form of stunting prevention through the fulfillment of protein nutrition in children. Tuna has a high nutritional value so it is very good to use as processed ingredients such as nuggets. In addition to meeting nutritional needs, tuna nuggets have good economic value so that they can become micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) for the community. This service activity includes socialization of stunting prevention, introduction of tuna nuggets rich in omega-3, and training on making tuna nuggets. The result of this service is an increase in public knowledge related to stunting prevention and knowledge, as well as skills related to making tuna nuggets as a form of fulfilling nutrients in children. In addition, fish nuggets can increase the economic value of the community into an UMKM.
