Pengelolaan Sampah Melalui Konsep 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) di Pesantren Modern Al-Manar

Abstract

This community service project aims to provide education on waste management through the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) concept at Pesantren Modern Al-Manar, Aceh Besar Regency. The project was conducted through several stages, including lectures, practical education, establishing a waste management unit, and distributing questionnaires. The results show that implementing waste management education based on the 3R principles has been successful. Applying the 3R principles effectively reduced the volume of waste at the pesantren, and adequately managed waste demonstrated significant economic potential. Additionally, the students showed excellent skills in waste sorting, making them the driving force behind more effective waste management practices within the pesantren. It is hoped that other pesantren or educational institutions can adopt this 3R-based waste management initiative to expand its positive impact, leading to more sustainable and environmentally friendly waste management practices in the Aceh region.
