This community service program was conducted in Gampong Jawa, Kutaraja District, Banda Aceh City, with the aim of developing a village nutrition garden and enhancing the capacity of Posyandu cadres, Village Human Development Cadres (KPM), and community members in utilizing nutrient-rich local plants for stunting prevention. The main challenges identified included limited understanding among cadres regarding nutrition education based on local plants (Moringa oleifera, Centella asiatica, and Curcuma xanthorrhiza), the absence of sustainable educational media, the lack of an integrated village empowerment model, and the suboptimal use of village land as a nutrition garden. The implemented solution involved the establishment of a nutrition garden based on nutrient-rich local plants through socialization, education, cultivation training, and monitoring using pre- and post-tests. The program results demonstrated improvements of at least 80% in participants’ knowledge and cultivation skills, the establishment of a village nutrition garden as a demonstration site, and the emergence of micro-enterprise initiatives based on local herbal food products. This program has the potential to serve as a sustainable village empowerment model to support stunting prevention and strengthen family economic resilience.
