Abstract

Desa Neuheun has excellent agricultural and livestock potential, supported by a large number of vacant lands and the number of breeders who continue to grow every year. Despite having a large vacant land and an increasing number of breeders, the condition of the land and livestock is still very concerning. Villagers who have jobs as farmers or gardeners often complain that the agricultural products they get are not as good as expected. This is due to the arid and infertile soil conditions. Farmers also seem not to take care of their livestock properly and allow them to roam around the housing complex which causes the complex roads to become full of animal waste. To overcome this problem, we conduct an introduction to the technology for making organic bokashi fertilizer to the "Lam Sagoe" and "Peulale Droe" farmer groups located in the village. The purpose of this science and technology program for the community is for the community to know the added value of cow dung waste as well as so that the community can produce their own organic bokashi fertilizer made from livestock dung waste. The method of implementing this service is divided into 4 (four) activities, namely (1) Training on bokashi organic fertilizer; (2) Training on the use of cow dung as raw material for organic bokashi fertilizer; (3) Manufacture of bokashi organic fertilizer fermentation tanks and crusher machines; and (4) the practice of making organic bokashi fertilizer.
