Lighting is one of the important factors that must be considered in a classroom, especially in elementary schools. At this elementary education level, students are still very sensitive to the presence of good lighting in the classroom. Insufficient lighting in the classroom can lead to a decline in students' learning performance and even affect their health. This activity investigates the lighting conditions in school classrooms in the Banda Sakti District of Lhokseumawe. The method involves directly investigating the target school classrooms, followed by measuring the illuminance values with and without artificial lighting. Then, the surveyed classroom was digitally modeled for simulation, followed by analysis and potential solutions. From the elementary school targeted in this activity, namely SD Negeri 4 Banda Sakti, a solution for improving classroom lighting was found by replacing light bulbs with specifications of 4500 lumens, CCT = 6500 K, and CRI ≥ 80%, and painting the room with high reflectance or white paint. After the solution was implemented, as a final step, re-measurements were conducted, and it was found that the lighting conditions met the standards for the targeted elementary school classroom. Hopefully, this activity can provide input for improvements in schools with similar cases in Indonesia. Thus, this can ensure that the teaching and learning activities run better, especially at the elementary school level.
