So far, nutmeg flesh has been left alone near the trees, in Pidie Jaya, especially in Trienggadeng District, Peulandok Teungoh Village. Nutmeg flesh is considered as nutmeg agribusiness waste. Efforts to turn waste into valuable products have been made. It is used as raw material for nutmeg syrup which adds value to nutmeg and benefits those who drink it. The process and tools needed for making it are very simple, starting from extracting nutmeg flesh, sterilizing syrup containers, mixing the extract with granulated sugar, bottling and labeling. With a ratio of extracted fruit juice to sugar of 1:1, the product has a delicious taste and aroma and is liked by consumers. The resulting syrup contains 1.22% vitamin C and 25.35% reducing sugar. Financial analysis shows that the profit that can be obtained from this product is IDR 10,000 per bottle and can be increased by expanding the market and production.
