Stunting is a serious public health issue in Indonesia, particularly in areas with limited access to nutritious food. Omega-3, abundant in mackerel, is essential in preventing stunting as it supports brain development and child growth. This Community Service Program aimed to enhance the understanding of the Gampong Jawa, Banda Aceh community regarding stunting prevention by utilizing mackerel as a source of Omega-3. The program consisted of three stages: (1) socialization on stunting and Omega-3 utilization, (2) technical guidance on making Omega-3-rich mackerel nuggets, and (3) assistance in the packaging and storage of nugget products. The results showed an increased awareness among the community about the importance of balanced nutrition and skills in processing mackerel into value-added products. This activity also contributed to enriching the menu of the Rumoh Gizi Gampong (RGG) and opened economic opportunities based on local fish processing. With these new skills, the community is expected to improve family nutrition and reduce the prevalence of stunting in the region.
