Abstract

This service activity aims to provide knowledge, skills, and training for housewives in Baet Mesjid Village, Sukamakmur Aceh Besar District, about processing household waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC). This activity targets housewives with relatively more flexible time to provide additional knowledge, insight, and skills in handling waste in the surrounding environment. The implementation method used in empowering the target community, especially housewives, is through an intensive approach by involving the participation of housewives to understand the problems to be solved and be actively involved in every learning process, carry out activities on an ongoing basis to solve problems in life community through the transfer of knowledge by processing organic waste into POC. The training on making POC that was attended by housewives went well, as seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in discussions and questions and answers, as well as participating in the training with the direct practice of making POC. Service activities have a positive impact, namely providing skills for the community, especially housewives, in processing organic waste and helping to deal with waste problems that have not been handled optimally.
