Pelatihan Pembuatan Media Literasi Perpustakaan Sekolah Kepada Guru Se-Aceh

Abstract

Community Service Activity (PKM) is implemented to assist to the situation experienced by librarian teacher throughout Aceh in building literacy in school libraries. Activities carried out in the form of training is conducted face-to-face to 30 people a teacher throughout Aceh within eight hours. The material exposure is divided into three main parts, namely 1) the introduction and types of media literacy; 2) case studies of media literacy the library; and 3) the practice of making library literacy media using the method of cooperative learning. In general, it can be concluded that the activity of PKM this gives the change in mindset to the development of literacy and the function of the current library. The library previously considered a passive and only serves as a place to borrow and return books, now is the make spacer for library users (students) to the distribution of ideas and talent. Need a special attention to librarian teachers throughout Aceh to produce "literate teachers", because the teacher is the main key to the implementation of the pillars of literacy in schools.
