Strengthening vocational students’ manufacturing skills requires practice-based learning that is relevant to industry needs. This community service activity aimed to improve the competencies of Diploma (D3) students through training in the fabrication of corrosion-resistant fiberglass composite roofing sheets. The method employed included material orientation, demonstration of resin and catalyst mixing, glass fiber lamination techniques, sheet forming, and product quality evaluation based on a project-based learning approach. Evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test assessments as well as observation of practical performance. The results showed a 32% increase in students’ conceptual understanding based on evaluation scores and a 28% improvement in practical skills in terms of process accuracy and product quality. The resulting composite sheets were lighter in weight and showed no signs of corrosion under humid environmental exposure testing. Overall, the activity effectively enhanced students’ technical competencies and work readiness.
