Sosialisasi Kebijakan Pengelolaan Ekowisata Rawa Singkil kepada Pemuda Kabupaten Aceh Singkil dalam Mendukung Konservasi Berbasis Masyarakat

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge, awareness, and engagement of youth in Aceh Singkil Regency regarding ecotourism management policies to support community-based conservation efforts. The methods employed included socialization sessions, presentation of materials by a representative from the Aceh Singkil Tourism Office, and interactive discussions with participants. The materials focused on ecotourism management policies, the ecological potential of the Singkil Swamp, and the strategic role of youth in sustaining ecosystem conservation. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of ecotourism concepts and the importance of conserving the Singkil Swamp ecosystem. Furthermore, the activity fostered a collective awareness and initial commitment among youth to actively participate in environmental conservation and local ecotourism development initiatives. Therefore, this policy of socialization serves as a strategic initial step in strengthening the role of youth as agents of change in supporting community-based conservation in the Singkil Swamp area.
