The Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) is a collaborative forum that is crucial in enhancing teachers' competencies, particularly in chemistry. This article discusses the role of MGMP in improving the pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies of chemistry teachers through a series of community service activities in the form of online workshops. These workshops were conducted every Thursday for three consecutive weeks as a collaboration between the Department of Chemistry Education and the MGMP Chemistry Forum for Senior High Schools in Aceh Tamiang. The workshop topics included STEM, misconceptions in chemistry, lesson study, and the development of teaching materials based on technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI). This initiative highlights how the MGMP Chemistry Forum in Aceh Tamiang contributes to improving chemistry education quality by incorporating innovative teaching methods and digital technology. 44 chemistry teachers from Aceh Tamiang attended the online workshop. The collaboration and discussions met expectations, emphasizing the need for continued partnerships to foster experience-sharing between teachers and lecturers. The optimization of MGMP is expected to further strengthen the quality of chemistry education, particularly in Aceh and, more broadly, in Indonesia.
