The slaughter of qurban animals during Eid al-Adha is a religious practice closely related to public health, food safety, and animal welfare. The supervision and health examination of qurban animals at Al Badar Mosque, Gampong Kota Baru, Banda Aceh, were conducted to ensure the application of the ASUH principles (Safe, Healthy, Whole, and Halal). The inspection was carried out in two stages: ante-mortem, to assess the health condition of the animals before slaughter, and post-mortem, to evaluate the quality of the meat and organs after slaughter. A total of 9 cattle and 3 goats were examined ante-mortem, with a focus on animal health and compliance with the Islamic requirements for qurban. The post-mortem inspection revealed parasitic infestations of Paramphistomum spp. and Fasciola sp. in several cattle livers, though the level of infestation was moderate and did not significantly affect meat edibility. These findings highlight the importance of comprehensive veterinary supervision in ensuring the safety and halal status of qurban meat. Additionally, the activity served as an educational platform for committee members and the community, raising awareness of hygiene, animal welfare, and public health during qurban.
